Iskandar Zulkarnain

I am a doctoral candidate in Visual and Cultural Studies as well as the editorial member of InVisible Culture graduate journal at the University of Rochester. My dissertation project is on what is called "digital nationalism" with Indonesia as a specific case study. In my project I am trying to combine approaches in Software Studies with Digital Ethnography to discuss about this "new" form of nationalist expression. My other interests are video game studies, social media, postcolonial studies, cultural studies, space and place, film studies, and underground music (specifically punk and hardcore).
